Who, What, Where, When, Why

Jacksonville, Fla. – Foodies and wine aficionados in Jacksonville have a new place to indulge their palates. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants opened its doors on Monday, December 9, 2024, marking the brand’s second location in Jacksonville and its 14th across the state of Florida. Located at 10601 San Jose Blvd, in the Mandarin Landing area, the restaurant is conveniently situated next to a Whole Foods Market and a nearby shopping mall.

A Culinary Collaboration

The Jacksonville-Mandarin location will be overseen by Jose Garcia, who works closely with Executive Chef Matt McMillin to provide a unique dining experience. Their aim is to deliver exceptional, modern casual dining by combining international flavors with an extensive wine selection from Cooper’s Hawk’s celebrated winery. Each dish on the menu is paired with a bin number designed to guide guests to the perfect wine complement.

Diverse Menu Options

Guests can look forward to an array of culinary delights, with offerings ranging from lunch, brunch, and Happy Hour specials to customizable kids’ meals, carryout options, and catering services. Additionally, a dedicated gluten-free menu ensures that diners with dietary restrictions are well catered for, allowing everyone to partake in the experience.

Award-Winning Wines

Cooper’s Hawk Winery has built a reputation for excellence, having earned over 600 awards for its wines. Sourcing premium grapes from top vineyards around the globe, the winery’s portfolio caters to wine enthusiasts of all experience levels, from novices to seasoned connoisseurs. Beyond wine, the restaurant also features a selection of craft cocktails and house-made sangrias, providing a full drink menu to enhance the dining experience.

Space and Ambiance

This new Jacksonville branch boasts a spacious indoor dining area that accommodates 300 guests, alongside a covered outdoor patio providing an additional 40 seats. The restaurant also offers a flexible private dining space for up to 48 guests, making it a perfect venue for gatherings and celebrations. One of the standout features of any Cooper’s Hawk location is its Napa-style tasting room and retail space, allowing guests to explore the winery’s offerings further.

Building Community Through Food and Wine

Constructed by Haley Construction Inc. of Daytona Beach, the 10,725-square-foot, free-standing building was completed at a project cost of $4.5 million. Founded in 2005 by Tim McEnery, Cooper’s Hawk’s mission is to create lasting connections through food and wine experiences. This vision has led to the growth of a robust Wine Club with over 360,000 members, who enjoy access to exclusive wines and unique culinary events.

Reservations and Hours

With such high demand for its offerings, dining reservations are highly recommended. However, wine tastings welcome walk-in guests, served in the order of arrival based on availability. The restaurant’s operating hours are as follows:

  • Friday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
