Jacksonville Beach, Fla. – The U.S. Navy’s famous Blue Angels will once again grace the skies over Jacksonville Beach as part of the annual Sea & Sky Air Show, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2025. This excitement comes after the initial announcement indicated that the Blue Angels would not be included in the 2025 lineup. However, a cancellation of a show in Lake Charles, Louisiana, opened up an opportunity for their return to Northeast Florida.
The upcoming air show, which is free to the public, promises to be a spectacular event that celebrates military prowess and community spirit. “The Sea & Sky Air Show will bring families, neighbors, and visitors together to experience an unforgettable display of skill and teamwork,” stated Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan. She expressed gratitude towards the Blue Angels for their contributions as ambassadors of goodwill, enhancing the connection to the military community in the region.
Known for their exceptional flying skills and breathtaking aerial performances, the Blue Angels are a beloved fixture in Jacksonville. The squadron’s first demonstration took place at Naval Air Station Jacksonville on June 15, 1946, marking the beginning of a longstanding relationship with the local community.
Jacksonville Beach Mayor Chris Hoffman also shared his excitement, stating, “I want to thank the City of Jacksonville for working so hard with us to bring the Sea & Sky Show – along with the Blue Angels – back to Jacksonville Beach. This is a big day for all of us. We can’t wait to show off our community, celebrate the military, and enjoy the show next year.”
The air show will not only feature the Blue Angels but will also include an array of award-winning civilian and military aerobatic teams showcasing their talents over the Atlantic Ocean. While the event is still in the planning stages, the announcement has already stirred anticipation among local residents and visitors alike.
The city is committed to providing further details as the event approaches. These will include information on additional activities, parking options, shuttle services, and road closures. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay tuned for updates to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during the event weekend.
In addition to their appearance in Jacksonville Beach, the Blue Angels have a busy 2025 schedule that includes performances at various locations throughout Florida. As part of their mission, the Blue Angels aim to inspire and connect with audiences through the beauty of flight.
The 2025 Sea & Sky Air Show in Jacksonville Beach is poised to be a remarkable event, reaffirming the city’s strong ties to military tradition while offering a captivating experience for all who attend.
