At a residence located in the 4100 block of Highwood Drive, police seized an impressive haul of illegal items, including 303.5 pounds of marijuana and 37.25 pounds of cannabis wax, commonly referred to as THC concentrate.

In addition to the extensive amount of drugs, officers also confiscated several firearms and cash during the operation. The post shared on social media by JSO highlighted, “That’s a lot!” when referring to the quantities of marijuana and wax found at the scene, underscoring the scale of the bust.

Details of the Arrest

Law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the Highwood Drive property, which led to the arrest of 40-year-old Jose Ruben Curet Villa. Villa faces multiple serious charges, including:

  • Traffic in marijuana in excess of 25 pounds or more than 300 plants
  • Possession of paraphernalia for the manufacture or delivery of drugs
  • Possession of scheduled I, III, or IV hallucinogen with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver

After his arrest, Villa was released from the Duval County Jail after posting a $60,000 bond.
