Sponsor Our ArticlesJacksonville Beach is launching a new paid parking program effective March 1, 2025. The program will run until November 2, 2025, expanding paid parking areas. Residents can register for free parking, while visitors will see hourly rates starting at $3. Special events will temporarily alter fees, but no charges will apply during major beach events. The enforcement of fees starts on March 15, 2025, encouraging visitors to plan their visits accordingly. Residents previously registered will not need to re-register, ensuring a smooth transition.
Jacksonville Beach is gearing up for a big change as the city officially rolls out its new paid parking program starting March 1, 2025! This new setup will bring some adjustments to how beachgoers pay for parking, so let’s break down exactly what you need to know to stay ahead of the game.
The paid parking program is set to run from March 1 to November 2, 2025. During these months, familiar paid parking areas will still be available, but the city’s Beach City Council has taken a close look at the parking situation and decided to expand the paid parking locations for both the 2025 and 2026 periods. It’s important to mark your calendars if you plan on enjoying our beautiful beach during this time!
One of the best news nuggets for locals is that Jacksonville Beach residents can register for free parking! To snag this perk, all you need to do is present a state-issued driver’s license and vehicle registration with your residential address. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy your local beach without worrying about parking fees.
To make it even easier, the city will hold two in-person registration events for free parking at the Pablo Towers lobby on:
Mark these dates as they are your perfect chance to get your parking sorted for the year!
For those visiting Jacksonville Beach who do not live in the area, paid parking rates have been set with some friendly options. Here’s the scoop:
When holidays or special events roll around, the cost will change slightly, with a flat rate of $12 for parking. This applies to popular occasions such as Springing the Blues weekend, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend, and Beaches Oktoberfest Weekend. It’s safe to say parking might be a little tighter during these festivities!
Another great piece of information is that paid parking will not be enforced during major Jacksonville Beach events like the Sea and Sky Spectacular or the Opening of the Beaches Parade. This means you can partake in these exciting celebrations without worrying about parking fees – now that’s a win!
Keep in mind that paid parking enforcement will officially start on March 15, 2025, at 8 p.m. It’s wise to prepare for this date if you’re planning to visit the beach that evening or later!
If you have registered for the Residential Parking Program in past years, you don’t need to stress about registering again. Your existing registration will remain valid, so you can focus on enjoying our beautiful shorelines hassle-free!
Should you have any questions or need assistance regarding the parking program, residents can easily get in touch with SP Plus at the phone number 904-356-9841 or send an email to jaxbeachparking@spplus.com. They’re there to help make this transition smooth for everyone!
It’s an exciting time for Jacksonville Beach as we prepare for these improvements in our parking system. Let’s embrace these changes and enjoy all the sun, sand, and surf that our beautiful beach has to offer!
