Jacksonville, Fla. – This holiday season, the Primrose schools across Jacksonville came together to make a significant impact in their communities. Through their annual “Caring and Giving Food Drive,” students managed to collect an impressive 3,870 canned goods for local organizations, which included Farm Share, Green Cove Food Pantry, and St. John Cares.
The food drive is part of a broader initiative taken by all Primrose Schools nationwide, which has contributed nearly 1.5 million food items to local charities since 2019. This collaborative effort not only supports families in need but also plays a vital role in educating children about community service and empathy.
Parents and preschool students participated actively by engaging in household chores to earn money to purchase canned goods. This approach instilled a greater sense of responsibility and pride in the young contributors, highlighting the importance of helping others during the holiday season.

Primrose Schools emphasizes that teaching the importance of caring and sharing is fundamental to early education. The initiative successfully shapes the next generation of compassionate leaders, instilling values that will last a lifetime.
The Caring and Giving Food Drive serves a dual purpose: it meets the immediate needs of local families struggling with food insecurity while also nurturing young minds to grow into conscientious adults. Students learn about the value of giving back, a lesson that goes beyond the classroom and directly into their communities.
This year’s successful collection is a testament to the power of community and the lessons taught by the Primrose Schools. As the holiday season continues, the efforts made by these young philanthropists serve as a bright reminder of the spirit of giving and community support.
