Jacksonville Construction Boom: $58 Million in New Permits Issued
Jacksonville, FL has seen a significant surge in construction activity, with nearly $60 million worth of work approved in just one week. This wave of construction includes diverse projects that promise to reshape various parts of the city. A total of 844 permits were issued during the seven-day period ending November 24, totaling approximately $58.3 million.
Key Projects and Permits Issued
Much of the construction activity is centered around major renovations and new builds across the city. After excluding permits for 725 single-family homes, townhouses, duplexes, mobile homes, and condominiums, a notable 119 permits were granted, amounting to $25.6 million.
Among the largest projects is the renovation of the Jacksonville Symphony’s headquarters located at 300 Water St.. This project involves a new roof that is estimated to cost $6.97 million. Corporate Renovations Underway
Bank of America is also continuing its expansion efforts at 9000 Southside Blvd.. In addition, River City Truck Sales is set to construct a new office and shop building at 302 Center Ave.. Warehouse and Co-Working Space Expansions
MSI Surfaces is taking significant steps to enhance its operations with warehouse renovations planned at 8443 Baymeadows Road.
