Jacksonville, FL — This year, Bank of America has awarded approximately $426,000 in grants to 26 nonprofits across the Jacksonville area. These funds are designed to enhance vital areas such as health care, employment, affordable housing, small business resilience, and neighborhood revitalization.

Mark Bennett, president of Bank of America Jacksonville, highlighted the partnership with local organizations as a way to foster positive community change. A key component of the funding is a $60,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida, aimed specifically at revitalizing neighborhoods. According to Bennett, this sizable contribution exemplifies how corporate investment can lead to tangible improvements within the community.

Focusing on Community Needs

The grant to the Boys & Girls Club will be allocated to upgrade older and underused buildings located at the Jordan Park and Gail Baker clubs in Atlantic Beach. Improvements to these facilities will make them more “inviting and accessible,” which is expected to help the nonprofit attract and retain more members.

Bennett stated, “Partnering with organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs to address critical needs such as educational support and community revitalization is part of our commitment to creating real change in Jacksonville.” This kind of investment reflects Bank of America’s dedication to fostering thriving communities.
