Jacksonville is gearing up for a brand-new adventure in downtown! Mark your calendars for April 12, 2025, as The Circuit Arcade Bar officially opens its doors at 19 N. Ocean St. This vibrant space has had quite the transformation, previously hosting the 1904 Music Hall and more recently serving as the Ocean Street Tequila bar. However, the tequila scene just wasn’t cutting it, so a fresh concept is rolling in!
The original music venue closed its doors during the pandemic, but the owners have dusted off their game controllers for a switch-up to an arcade bar. Co-owner Jason Hunnicutt and his team decided that the biggest potential for the space lay in combining nostalgia with socializing, and thus the arcade bar idea was born. The Circuit is set to fill up its 2,600 square feet with a delightful mix of both old-school and shiny new video games!
Prepare for a blast from the past with an impressive lineup of 30 classic and retro games. From the zany sounds of throwback pinball machines to the adrenaline-pumping action of refurbished retro video games like Mortal Kombat, there’s something for every gamer. Traditional favorites will also be available, including air hockey, foosball, Skee-Ball, and even bubble hockey. Players need to keep a handful of quarters or small bills handy, as these games are not free to play!

Just three weeks prior to the grand opening, The Circuit has already been soft-opening, giving patrons a sneak-peak of the fun and games in store. The venue will operate daily from noon to 1 a.m. and will also cater to corporate events and themed gatherings, such as retro nights!
