New Entertainment Venue Chipshot to Open in Jacksonville Featuring Indoor Pickleball and Golf Simulators

New Entertainment Venue Set to Open in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Fla. — A new and exciting entertainment venue named Chipshot is scheduled to open in Jacksonville next fall, combining indoor pickleball, golf, and offerings from a well-known local brewery. This venture is a collaboration between PGA Tour professional Thomas Walsh and Scott Adeeb, the owner of Strings Sports Brewery. Chipshot will occupy a 30,000-square-foot space located at 13164 Atlantic Boulevard, at the intersection of Atlantic and Hodges Boulevards.

Details of the Venue

Chipshot aims to provide a comprehensive entertainment experience, featuring up to eight indoor pickleball courts and four golf simulators, complemented by 25 televisions for sports viewing. A significant aspect of this venue is its partnership with Strings Sports Brewery, which will offer a variety of craft beers and food options. Notably, a self-serve beer wall will allow patrons to pour their drinks, helping to minimize long wait times that often detract from the entertainment experience.

Focus on Customer Experience

Walsh commented, “When I go to a lot of these places, you pay for an hour, but by the time you order, you wait in line, and the waiter or waitress brings out your food, you’ve only gotten about 30 minutes of actual entertainment.” The inclusion of the self-serve beer wall and QR codes for food orders aims to enhance the overall experience by reducing wait times and extending engagement.

The venue will also maintain affordable pricing for pickleball court rentals, which are expected to range from $30 to $40 per hour, depending on the day and time selected.

Timeline and Commitment

The opening of Chipshot is scheduled for the fall of 2025, with plans for interior demolition of the existing building to begin in February. Walsh expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve been working on this for three years. We really had a difficult time because these facilities are tough to get. They need to be 30,000 square feet and have certain ceiling heights.” He emphasized that foundational requirements and space limitations posed significant challenges in the planning phase.

Long-Term Vision for Jacksonville

Walsh shared that Chipshot will not be just a one-time investment, expressing a desire to significantly impact the entertainment landscape in Jacksonville. “We’re investing heavily in it. We made a long commitment to Jacksonville, so I hope they enjoy it as much as we will because we’re working hard,” he asserted.

Community Impact

The establishment of Chipshot represents a promising development in Jacksonville’s entertainment offerings, aiming to cater to both sports enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. As preparations move forward, anticipation builds for what could become a popular destination for recreation and leisure in the region.
