New Music Venue Decca Live to Enhance Jacksonville’s Entertainment Scene with Grand Opening Performance by Kaskade

New Music Venue Set to Open in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Florida – A Fresh Note in the Music Scene

Jacksonville is set to welcome a brand new music venue, Decca Live, which will officially open its doors on Saturday, January 31, 2025. The grand opening will feature a highly anticipated performance by Grammy-nominated Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artist Kaskade. Excitement is already in the air, as the opening show is completely sold out, a testament to the demand for live music in the city.

Location and Features

Decca Live is located on East Bay Street, occupying the historic site of the former Florida State Theater Company. Positioned conveniently near other nightlife options such as Justice Music Pub, Live Bar, and Myth Nightclub & Element Bistro, it promises to enhance Jacksonville’s downtown entertainment landscape.

The venue boasts a spacious layout capable of accommodating up to 1,000 patrons, which is double the capacity of the nearby Underbelly venue. This makes Decca Live an important addition to Jacksonville, helping to fill the gap left by Mavericks Live, which shut down in 2019. With a design that includes a large open floor and a mezzanine overlooking the crowd, it aims to create an immersive experience for concert-goers. Additionally, a rooftop bar offering stunning views of the St. Johns River will be open daily starting at 4:00 p.m.

Reviving the Local Music Scene

The opening of Decca Live is expected to rejuvenate Jacksonville’s music scene, which has experienced challenges with the closure of several venues in recent years. With a focus on live performances, Decca Live will host a wide range of events featuring both national and international artists, ensuring that music lovers have plenty of opportunities to enjoy live performances.

The venue’s co-owners, Eric Fuller and Shawn Rouf, are both natives of Jacksonville with extensive backgrounds in the nightlife industry. Their partnership with BLNK CNVS, a South Florida event and promotion company, will ensure a steady stream of high-profile artists, especially within the EDM genre. BLNK CNVS will act as the talent buyer and is already slated to host the Sonar Sessions featuring the EDM artist Mersiv at the historic USS Orleck on December 27 and 28, just before the venue’s grand opening.

Future Events and Performances

Beyond the grand opening with Kaskade, Decca Live has announced additional performances, including a show by country star Josh Meloy scheduled for March 21, 2025. Tickets for this event are currently available, and details about upcoming shows can be found on the venue’s official website.

Overall, the arrival of Decca Live is seen as a significant step forward for the local music industry, particularly for the growing EDM scene in Jacksonville. With local organizations like Rinse & Repeat Records, Wub Tub, and Rat Trap Records all active in promoting EDM events, the new venue will likely serve as a catalyst for more diverse musical experiences in the River City.

As opening day approaches, anticipation builds for what Decca Live will bring to the local arts and entertainment scene. The return of a thriving music venue after the closure of Mavericks Live signifies progress, promising an exciting future for music fans in Jacksonville.
