Traffic Management in Jacksonville Ahead of the Holiday Season

Jacksonville, Fla. — As the holiday season approaches, the Transportation Management Center in downtown Jacksonville is preparing for an influx of holiday travelers. The center acts like a well-oiled machine, coordinating efforts between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), and the FL511 traffic information system. Hampton Ray from FDOT emphasized the expected traffic increase this weekend and into the New Year, urging drivers to plan their journeys carefully.
